My journey to becoming an accredited coach began around 15 years ago.
I trained in coaching skills for the first time when I was working as a manager in PR & Communications at the BBC.
I worked for the innovative Digital Mums as a coach and mentor to women training in new skills to help them work more flexibly around the realities of their life.
Helping 100s of women see possibilities open up for what they may do in future was really exciting, and playing a part in the growth of someone's confidence was a privilege.
In 2022 I decided to coach full-time and studied for an accreditation with the Institute of Leadership and Management (UK) and then went back to my PR roots.
I coach PR and Comms professionals who are experiencing feeling stuck in their life or career (or both).
I create space for them to discover and pursue what they really want. I know how needed this space is because I once needed it myself, and it was nowhere to be found.
In total I worked in pretty high profile PR jobs for around 20 years. I worked with plenty great managers in that time, and plenty great teams. But I realised with hindsight that I hid the effects of all of the stress, pressure and relentlessness of the job in a way that was at best limiting to my career, and at worst harmful to my wellbeing.
I could see that mindset coaching could have really helped me, so it was a no-brainers to offer my service exclusively to the PR & Comms community.
I now run my own business from my home in Deal, Kent where I live with my family. I couldn't be happier to be doing this and I feel really proud to be able to use my experiences, good and bad, to underpin my coaching skills and support people choosing to maximise their potential.
